"It's really no surprise to anybody that the PS3 was definitely a contributing factor to that," Barrera told MTV. Downloadable episodic content remains exclusive to the 360 version of the game, and will require a hard drive, however the stand alone game will not.
no matter how good the game is, theres no way this game will surpass 10.8 million in sales, Halo 3 the biggest game on 360 by far is only valued at 9.7mil.
The future generations of open-world gaming will not be defined by their graphics anymore. It will come down to the underlying technologies at work that replicate all the subtle nuances of physics, sound, movement, animation and camera control. That's our prediction after walking out of one of the most startling game demonstrations we've witnessed in a long time. The game is Grand Theft Auto IV, long submerged from public eyes, and the technology is Euphoria.
Rumour is circulating that Rockstar will release a PC version of Grand Theft Auto IV in October this year. According to reports, the rumour has surfaced in the world of French gaming press, which cites retail as a source for the date.
After all the problems with the delays, and the looming "problems" that will arise when the time comes, there's a light at the end of the delay tunnel.
The question is:
Will it still be there, and will there be no more delays?
lets think of the numbers here people, current prediction is 10million, a short while ago it was 14million. current total sales figures for the 360 are about 17million, by april it could be in the range of 18-19m, by next year when this games sales will have dried up completely it will probably be about 25-30. there is no way that this game is going to have an attatch rate of over half or even a third. Halo 3 the 360's biggest franchise by a long way has barely reached this figure. on the original xbox the attatch rate for san andreas wasnt even 10%. yes this game will sell alot of copies and have a higher attatch rate than before. current estimate is way too high and especially the 14mil it achieved earlier.
It's been a while since our last look at Grand Theft Auto IV. The last time we had seen the game, it was "on track" for its October 2007 release, but still clearly in need of some polishing. This time out however, a good six months since our last viewing, things were different...
