Another 'X' on the calendar means another day closer to the launch of Grand Theft Auto IV on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 this spring. So far, we've been introduced to lead character Niko and his quest for the American dream in Liberty City. Today we take a closer look at Rockstar's free-roaming action game and new features designed to make the game "grittier' and "more realistic" than before.
@ixaarii,I'm actually reporting it - in the way that the same peice of news can be covered by more then one journalist. So far 13 people have bid for the article as submitted from GamesIndustry.biz - a more respected source.
It’s the biggest game of the year, we all know it, and it could even be the biggest game of all time if what we have seen is anything to go by. We already knew that the game was coming out sometime between Feb and April 2008 and we had banked on Easter being the more likely target date in that period. You know, given the holidays and all. But perhaps we were wrong.
Everyone's expecting big things from GTA IV, including investors. Wedbush Morgan's Michael Pachter believes there is "overconfidence" in GTA IV and Take-Two, however.
@Eclectus,
I don't understand your argument for not deleting the article... I don't think it's about the site of origin, but about the content, otherwise when new NPD numbers come out we'd have them reposted 20 times for each site that interprets them...
Episodic: it's exactly these production values that I think take time and effort making them hard to make episodic without huge teams.
