When dozens of games are released each month across no fewer than six console and handheld platforms, there simply aren't enough data points to see how games are selling on each platform. However, in coordination with the NPD Group, Gamasutra has exclusive data on the top 5 titles for each of the current-generation consoles.

Some additional # / facts : - Xbox 360 LTD ASP is $376.49 (official figure). - Tales of Vesperia, #58, 33,000 units. - Wii will pass 22 months at its launch price, breaking the record set by the Xbox 360's 21 months, and I don't expect Wii to drop until mid-2009, putting it out near 30 months at its launch price.

UK Charts: Force Unleashed on top

Individual formats chart for week ending 20 September: Star Wars: The Force Unleashed dominates, with the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions taking the top two spots. The Wii version is in sixth behind Wii Fit, Mario Kart Wii and Warhammer Online. Last week's number one, Spore, drops to 8th. Chart Track also reveals that 48% of Force Unleashed sales were on the 360, 30% on PS3 and 15% on Wii. See link for full chart.

IMO, once parents (like me) see this kind of study, they are going to buy Brain Age games in droves. It is a pity that we stopped trading Brain Age games in simEx. I think we will some new Training game from Nintendo in the future. Math Training anyone ?

Article: Computer game boosts maths scoresThe study involved more than 600 pupils in 32 schools across Scotland using the Brain Training from Dr Kawashima game on the Nintendo DS every day. Researchers found that while all groups had improved their scores, the group using the game had improved by a further 50%. The time taken to complete the tests also dropped by five minutes, from 18.5 minutes to 13.5 minutes. The improvement in the games group was double that of the control group.
