Legendary to acquire Epic Games

Private equity-backed film financier Legendary Pictures is in negotiations to acquire Epic Games, the North Carolina-based developer of videogames including "Gears of War." Multiple sources close to the companies confirmed that talks are under way, though execs at both Legendary and Epic declined to comment. Legendary could be the first film financing company to start investing money in videogames.

UK Charts: week ending Oct 18th

‘FIFA 09’ down to No2 with a 54% dip. ‘PES 2009’ breakdown : PS3 58%, Xbox 360 40% and PC 2%. Xbox 360 FIFA’s launch has sold 2.66 times more than that of PES. THQ ‘Saints Row 2’ at No3 with 73% of sales on Xbox 360 and 27% on PS3. ‘Wii Fit’ and ‘Mario Kart Wii’ are the only All Formats Top 10 games to increase in sales.
