X360 is sold out across the whole country. It's so sold out that Microsoft Japan actually put out an official statement about the situation in The Land of the Rising Sun, apologizing for the lack of consoles. Since demand has eclipsed supply, Microsoft's supply has gone totally dry. The company is ramping up production, and the console will not be shipped to stores until next month.

A subtly redesigned Xbox 360 controller has been spotted on the showroom floor at this year's Games Convention in Leipzig, sporting a new-feel d-pad that addresses the previously unresponsive and spongy model.

David reeves has just announced the PSP 3000 at the Sony press conference in Leipzig. It’s new, Slim and Light case but with “enhanced LCD screen”. More colours. “Crisper colours with more intesity when outside in the natural light,” he said. David Reeves also confirmed a built in microphone. PSP 3000 will launch on October 15 in PAL territories for 199 euros

We have just seen a small part of Sony Computer Entertainment conference rehearsal here at Game Convention in Leipzig, and we are almost certain that a new trailer of Heavy Rain for the PlayStation 3 with ingame footage was broadcasted. The game will be indeed presented at Sony Conference in a few hours. Release date : 2009 !

Revealed on a flyer in GC, Microsoft will be releasing an Xbox 360 Starter Pack containing a 60GB Hard Drive, Wired Headset and 3 months of Xbox LIVE Gold. The pack goes on sale across Europe on November 21st for 79 Euros.

Codemasters has unveiled FUEL, a brand new openworld racing game promising the "largest racing environment to appear in gaming - ever". Developed by French outfit Asobo Studios, the game's due out on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC in 2009.

At this year's German Games Convention in Leipzig, EA announced that they will be releasing a tennis game in 2009. Developed by EAC in Vancouver, the title was designed with the Wii as the lead SKU and will feature motionplus compatibility to allow for tighter serves, forehands and backhands, and volleys at the net.

Tecmo President Resigns!

Today, Tecmo Co. Ltd. announced that Tecmo president Yoshimi Yasuda will resign. The Board of Directors accepted Yasuda's resignation -- which was for "personal reasons". Starting September 1st, Chairman of the Board Yasuharu Kakihara will assume the position of Tecmo's president. Yasuda has been at the center of the Itagaki vs. Tecmo legal suit.
