Submitted by welshbloke (24) at 12:23PM PST on June 26, 2009

The Mole gives up the goods on Sony and Microsoft hardware plans this fall: price drops on both systems, with the 160GB PS3 model replacing the 80GB model before the PS3 Slim is released. Expect the Elite to replace the Pro models on the 360 side after Microsoft adjusts prices as well. New bundles are coming as well.

Who's Going to Lose: HD-DVD, Blu-Ray, or You?

kotaku.com - November 2, 2007

Submitted by feelmyring (47) at 8:54AM PST on November 3, 2007

"This war between Blu-ray Disc and HD-DVD is extremely nasty, as members from each camp throw barbs at each other. Unlike the console wars, which has Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo actually expanding the overall videogame market, this next gen DVD battle is not helping consumers, retailers or anyone not affiliated with one of the two sides."

Analyst Predicts Wii & PS3 Price Cuts, 360 Cut/Bundle

Kotaku - June 12, 2008

Submitted by Joe80 (4) at 8:39PM PST on June 12, 2009

Pachter says, "In order to hit its full-year Wii shipment forecast, we expect Nintendo to cut the price of the Wii before [the] holiday, likely to $199.99." "In the second half of the year, we expect Sony to cut price for the PS3, and if the cut is deep enough, we expect Microsoft to respond (either with bundles or with a price cut of its own, even as Microsoft just introduced a Xbox 360 Elite bundle with free games Halo 3 and Fable II)."
