[Having errors while trying to get online, a user] contacted EA, who told him the hard drive is "needed to store temporary data when playing online as the data transferred from one console to another requires storage space greater than what the memory card can contain."

Not content with just motorcycles and night driving, Criterion has announced that once they are done with the Cagney update, they will begin working on putting planes into Burnout Paradise.

Big Shot Island is a huge new playground for Burnout Paradise, with an emphasis on huge jumps and plenty of opportunities to wreck your vehicles in creative ways. Originally slated to be free DLC, that has since changed. Why?

Hot on the heels of the Bogart patch, which mainly consisted of bug fixes and a few minor features, the company has announced the official release date for the more ambitious Cagney update. On July 10th at 9AM UK time, Burnout Paradise owners will gain access to three new Freeburn modes, over 70 new Freeburn challenges, two new vehicles, 3 new liveries, and the long-awaited ability to create custom soundtracks on your PlayStation 3.
