Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare will be the fourth installment in the Call of Duty video game series. A trailer has been released showing scenes set in a modern day warfare environment, echoing the rumors over the past year. The action looks even more intense than its predecessors, while the cinematography seems to have been elevated to an even higher level. Infinity Ward, makers of the acclaimed Call of Duty 2 are responsible for the development of CoD4.

Variety Map Pack coming to PC June 5th - May 31, 2008

The Variety Map Pack which includes Killhouse, Chinatown, Creek and Broadcast will be coming to the PC on June 5th, according to Infinity Ward community figurehead fourzerotwo. As expected from a map pack that's been available on other formats for nearly two months, the pack will be free to download on PC thanks to a sponsorship from NVIDIA.

US PC Chart: COD4 holds off WoW

Activision’s Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare has taken the top spot in the US’s PC chart for the week of January 13th – 19th, according to NPD data. Three World of Warcraft titles follow the FPS, with the original Blizzard MMO in second, the ‘Battle Chest’ compendium in third spot and WoW: The Burning Crusade in fourth.

CoD4 #1 on PC worldwide last quarter

Mentioned in Activision financial statement: Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was the most popular game in units worldwide for calendar 2007, selling more than seven million copies, and the #1 PC game in units and dollars in the U.S. and Europe for the quarter ended December 31, 2007, according to The NPD Group, Charttrack and Gfk.
