The same studio that created Wipeout Pure on PSP, the upcoming Wipeout Pulse, and Formula One Championship Edition on PS3 is currently developing Wipeout for the PS3. The game will be controllable with the Sixaxis controller, bringing new gameplay to the series. Many people can remember moving side to side while furiously racing through Wipeout tracks. The game will include downloadable content and most likely online play.

A key developer at Sony's Liverpool studio has officially confirmed that WipEout on PS3 is in development and that the game will use the SIXAXIS controller.
