Banjo-Kazooie:N&B - Eurogamer review 7/10

The game it has become instead demands thoughtful, exciting challenges that inspire the player to pitch in and help get the most out of each level, but it fails to provide them, and even though it's worth persevering with for the occasional hurdles race, egg-and-spoon and a game-world in aptly Rare form, ultimately it's a brilliant shell with a mostly hollow centre.

Banjo: IGN Review 8.3/10 (Impressive)

Despite its friendly appearance, Nuts & Bolts isn't exactly easy to pick up and play and might be over the head of some small children. There's a lot of depth here and the vehicle creation tools allow you to flex your mind and your fingers at the same time. This is a great change of pace from the usual Xbox 360 fare and a game that will offer a lot of fun to those willing to invest some time in it.

Rare has confirmed that the first Xbox 360 instalment in the Banjo-Kazooie series is on track for a Christmas release. According to man-in-the-know George Kelion, posting on NeoGaf, "The game is scheduled for a holiday 2008 release - barring the coming of the four horsemen of the apocalypse, you should be playing Banjo 3 before the end of the year (providing you buy the game, that is)."

Nuts and Bolts Starting To Sound Like LEGO GTA?

Kotaku - October 8, 2008

Carjacking, fleeing from the cops, and an open world in which you rub elbows with corrupt weasels and lowlife thugs doesn't sound like something you'd expect from a Banjo Kazooie game, but Rare may be giving impressionable boys and girls their first taste of Grand Theft Auto-style gameplay. We'd seen Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts at previous Microsoft get-togethers, but going eyes on with Rare's latest at Tokyo Game Show made us realize just how far they'd taken the former platformer.
