IGN Review : 9.0 (Outstanding)

IGN - December 17, 2008

Submitted by apujanata (4) at 3:49AM PST on December 18, 2008

9.5 Presentation 8.0 Graphics Basically a lower resolution version of the 360 and PS3 games, and it still looks nice on Wii. Animation is good for the most part, but the framerate takes a hit here and there. 9.5 Sound 9.0 Gameplay 9.5 Lasting Appeal World Tour will take you a good long while to finish, but the simple act of playing great songs with your friends isn't likely to get old any time soon.

Harmonix: Sorry For The Rock Band 2 Wii Delay!

Kotaku - December 16, 2008

Submitted by necron101 (136) at 8:10AM PST on December 16, 2008

Rock band 2's already out on 360 and PS3, but the other versions - Wii and PS2 - are running a little behind schedule. So far, in fact, that they're still not out yet. But they're coming! Or, at least, the Wii version is. A very public, very humble announcement on Harmonix's site says that Rock Band 2 on the Wii will be shipping on December 18, meaning that, if you're lucky, it'll arrive in stores just before Christmas.

No official timeframe was given, but the PS3, PS2 and Wii releases will hit sometime after the Xbox 360 release, but before the end of 2008. Rock Band 2 is slated to feature at least 80 tracks, all master recordings. It's scheduled to be shown at this year's E3.

Rock Band 2 for Wii won't skimp on features

Joystiq - August 6, 2008

Submitted by oznerol (141) at 2:36PM PST on August 6, 2008

Wired reports that the Wii version of Rock Band 2 will, according to Harmonix, be "fully-featured." In fact, this includes DLC (no word on how that's going to work storage-wise) and online play. If it's going to be a "much more competitive product" as its developers say, then we should also expect to be making music with band members of our own design and touring the world as we see fit when the game hits the stage in November.
